After more than 30 years of tinkering, studying and designing electronics and radio-related stuff, I felt I should start communicating my findings and thoughts in a more frequent manner. And I am quite curious about other people's approaches as well. So I have decided to modernize my communication methods. The blog form is the best vehicle in that sense. I write a post, you add on to mine using the | Comments (x)| link above the post..
I've decided to build your dual band satellite antenna. I have a question about the element spacing between the Ref./DE of the VHF section. You mention placing the Ref. 3/4" ahead of the UHF Ref. but I'm wondering if the dimensions in the specification box include that 3/4".
To clarify....after drilling the (VHF) REF hole, which is .75" ahead of the UHF Ref. hole, I should drill the hole for the VHF DE 8.5" from the VHF Ref. ...is that correct?
Thanks and 73
